The new Warzone 2.0 brought back its loyal fans with its release of Season 2 as of February 15th, 2023. But its high of its initial release slowly diminished, with recent player counts averaging 145,471 players on Steam from its peak of 488,897 players in Warzone 2.0’s release in November, 2022. But with a new Season comes new changes. Such as a brand new Map to play on, the Ashika Island. Most media now appears to adore Japan so this felt like an appropriate addition to the game. Both Warzone 2.0 Battle Royale and the DMZ Game Mode saw changes and updates with the return of Resurgence. With a new Season brings forth a new Meta, these are the best Classes to use in the Season 2 Warzone 2.0 Meta.

This loadout will be one highly used by the majority of players due to the ability to hit pop shots on enemies from afar and move in with the MP5 to clean up the mess. This one is for the regular sniper users as it will require the most patience and accuracy to hit those crucial shots. The incendiary rounds makes this Sniper a one-shot kill on enemies, it also means that it will full kill any downed enemies as the damage will tick away from the incendiary bullet. The MP5 is a weapon that appears in the Call of Duty Meta throughout every installment, being one of the most versatile and adaptable guns to use in the game.
This Loadout is perfect for Ashika Island as you will be able to utilize both Weapons from close-long range, with the MP5 as the perfect finishing weapon for any close-combat done inside buildings. Keep in mind however that the MP5 does not have the greatest distance on it but that is why it is paired with the Sniper Rifle. For those who usually opt for Snipers in a Battle Royale, this one is for you.

The new Hemlok, added for Season 2 brings nostalgic Assault Rifle gameplay, with smooth recoil control and high-packed damage that can take down multiple enemies within its 45 Round Mag. This is the best all-round Class you can have right now and should be used for the casual player, those who are used to weapons such as the M4. With the new Season, the Hemlok will likely receive a nerf in the near future. The Fennec remains a super strong Sub Machine Gun to use and just like with most SMGs, the Fennec should be utilized close-range. All SMGs received a nerf for their damage range but these are still power-houses to use in Warzone 2.0.
The Fennec fires incredibly fast. For this reason you need to make sure that every shot counts. If you are a critical and accurate player then this gun is the one for you. It can overwhelm opponents more than the MP5. Just keep in mind that you may need to reload it more than other SMGs.
KV Broadside and Fennec – The Guns Blazing Gun Runner
KV Broadside

The Shotgun Meta has made a comeback in Warzone 2.0 Season 2. Adding a new Shotgun, the KV Broadside into the mix with this pump-action Shotgun capable of two-hitting enemies within close-quarters. This is for the highly-aggressive players who W-Key on every team they roll up on. The Broadside can be set up for either those wanting to go in guns blazing, hip firing enemies similar to the EVA-8 in Apex Legends, or as a fast-paced, mobility-packed weapon that will overwhelm enemies with two pump high damaged action.
Refer to the above Class for the Fennec Loadout details. You do not have to use this as your secondary however. Depending on how aggressive you will play this gun will determine what you will want as your secondary. For those however that want something as fast and hard-hitting as the Broadside, the Fennec is a safe, strong bet. Unlike the other Loadouts, this is the most aggressive Class to use in Warzone 2.0 at the moment.
RPK and Vaznev-9K – The Floor Sweeper

For a Light Machine Gun Class, the RPK is making a comeback for the Warzone 2.0 Meta. Whilst it has seen some nerfs, the RPK remains one of the hardest hitting guns in the game and is highly effective within the Battle Royale setting. This weapon of course is highly efficient in long-range quarters. If you are someone who does not like to use Snipers but wants a long range gun, the RPK is the one for you. With accuracy you will be able to down 2-3 enemies within a single magazine.
Although the Vaznev does not hit as hard as the MP5 due to its limited range, this gun feels effortless inside close-combat fights. It is the perfect secondary weapon to use alongside the RPK. Where you can switch to this gun to pick off kills and with its larger magazine of 45 rounds, players can use this Sub Machine Gun to get up close and personal where the RPK cannot.
